The government of Ontario Canada has recently published an alpha (or draft version) of their Digital Service Standard (DSS), which is a comprehensive online document.
The DSS sets out 14 points to help government build and deliver excellent online services.
For Ontario, all new or redesigned public-facing information and services will eventually be required to follow the standard, before work begins. Right now they're focusing on testing the standard, gathering user feedback and improving the DSS.
